new motherboard - hard drive wont spin - not detected in bios but is when plugged into old mobo Tags: Storage Hard Drives Motherboards Last response: November 4, 2013 8:52 AM in Storage Share superh November 3, 2013 6:15:06 AM Even when i connect it back to my old motherboard, it works fine. new one and it doesnt even spin. Ive tried at least 3 different sata leads and all the ports. The optical drive is recognised fine. I've ordered a new hard drive so it will be clean as maybe it's due to my old drive being full of files and a version of windows. The Pc just doesnt even recognise the drive at all. i really hope it's not a board issue... any thoughts?
