How To Move the OS onto an SSD

Here's what I need to happen. I want my computer to boot Windows 8 using my SSD, but I want the "C" drive to be my 1.5TB HDD. How can I go about doing this? I've tried switching drives before with no avail so now I hope you guys can guide me to a tutorial that explains what I'm looking for or help answer it yourself. Please Help!

That's what I want, what I mean is I want ONLY the OS on the SSD as a different drive so It can boot faster. I've tried a clean install before but I don't know how to make it so that it is only the OS.
