I have an Intel core 2 duo e6600 CPU that I would like to install on my P5LD2 deluxe mobo (current CPU is P4, 3.2GHz). According to various lists, the deluxe version of the P5LD2 does not support the e6600 but the non-deluxe version does support the00.
I'm probably average to better when it comes to mucking inside PC's but I'm not seeing where the difference lies between the two mobo's.
Should I take a chance & install the e6600 on the deluxe?
