I am looking at upgrading my current Phenom 9950 BE/HD 4870 to an APU only build. Currently, my rig handles all the games I play at medium settings, though it sounds like a lawn mower and is getting increasingly unstable so I am ready for an upgrade.
My intention is to build a Micro-ATX system with an upcoming Kaveri chip using 16gigs of DDR3 2400 ram. I play RPGs titles like Diablo III and would like it to handle popular Steam titles. My tech knowledge is pretty low and I am looking for some confirmation on what I have read. It appears that Kaveri is going to be worth the wait over a Richland APU.
- Would this handle two monitors at 720P playing Diablo III or Star Craft (high settings) and stream Hulu/Netflix shows?
- I haven't invested much time into looking at popular Steam titles, but in general would this handle popular Steam titles at High settings?
