My budget is £500. I intend to throw some heavy gaming on it like Battlefield 3 and Far Cry 3, Maybe crysis 3 on at least Medium. My current resolution with the HD7770 is 1600x900 (until i buy a proper display port or mini hdmi cable to get 1080p, cant find these anywhere).

I made a list in pcpartpicker but it totally exceeds £500:

Now I need help with it. I wanted to go with the fx6300 but then heard that it might bottleneck the HD7950

Could get this and use your current 7770 and corssfire it with this for very nice performance.
Ask me if you want anything changed!

How do you think the 7770 would perform in crossfire? People told me to be aware of crossfire issues. Also the cards have only 1gb vram each, in crossfire would this add up or what? And last, can i crossfire differend brands? The current that i have is a XFX.

Other than that, thanks!

Here are some benchmarks http://www.eteknix.com/amd-radeon-hd-7770-crossfire-review/
There may be some crossfire issues but they have been reduced quite alot. If you dont want corssfire issues then get a single 7950 the 6300 will not bottleneck it.
2 1gb cards are still 1gb they do not add up.
Yes you can crossfire different 7770's but if you want you get just get another XFX one if you want to be safe and you would not need to change clock speeds.
Ask if you want anything changed

Great! Thanks!
But after a long thought I think i'll might go with a 2GB card to throw some heavier gaming on it. Like JMR120600, i'll use the 2gb hd7850.

I made this:

Is it even possible to make the price lower to at least £410?
I'll experiment it.

EDIT: I was afraid of running out of vram with the 7770 in crossfire, but after some google lecture, i'll stay with it. After all, Im gaming on 1600x900

I agree at that res there is no need for more vram.

+1 you should get similar performance to a 7950 with the 7770 in Crossfire if you keep below 1080p

So my budget decreased a bit, now I really need to keep it under £400. I decided to crossfire my 7770 with the 7750, the difference shouldn't be huge. What do you guys think?

I dont think you can crossfire a 7770 with a 7750, they have to be the same usually.

Also, I would be looking at a 500w psu if you want to crossfire 7770s or 7750s.

I would agree, a 7850 or a 650 Ti Boost would be a better bet.

Not trying to sound rude but have you two actually read anything I and everybody else said in this thread above? It is possible to crossfire 7770 with 7750. I wont buy a better gpu like the 7850 because as the title states, im on a tight budget (And if you read carefully you would know it decreased by 100). I cant afford a better gpu and it just pisses me off sooo much when people say "BUY THE 7850 OR BETTER! BUY THE 7850 OR BETTER". Seriously, when someone is building a pc it doesn't mean he can make it rain. And crossfire has been fixed some hecktime ago.

actually thats not true. they improved ftrametimes for the r series but its still not where sli is. it costs a lot of money for the capture card to be able to see the framerates so many sites dont publish it pcper does and here is an example.

http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/Frame-Rating-GTX-660-vs-HD-7870-plus-HD-7790-HD-7850-GTX-650-Ti-BOOST/Battlef

i honestly dont care what gpu you buy but the 7000 series has noticeable crossfire issues that aparently not everyone knows about. i just think its something to considere when someone plans to set up crossfire.

Hey, sorry for sounding rude before but I was in a row of no sleeping for 3 days and everything was pissing me off. After all, this thread is made to see other's opinions. I always thought that since the catalyst driver 13.8 crossfire was fixed. Thanks though
