PCI sata card recommendation...

Hello everyone,

The reason I need a pci sata card is to be able to accommodate more drives in my server. The motherboard only has 2 internal sata slots and an IDE slot should I choose to use that too, but I need more. I am on a tight budget but also care for quality and have not bought anything from either Syba or Rosewill before.

My mobo is: Biostar N68S

pci card options are: Syba SD-SATA-4P or Rosewill RC-209-EX (both have a transfer rate of 1.5Gb/s)

I was eyeing the more pricey Syba SY-PCI40010 (Sata II with a transfer rate of 3.0Gb/s) - but I am on a tight budget, unless someone can convince me this is the way to go...

My major criteria is that it works without much hassle and is of good quality (Syba vs. Rosewill).

Other notes that might be worth mentioning:
This server will run about 10 hours a day making backups, scanning for viruses on a daily basis. Media files (video, audio, data) hosted by the server will be accessed by other computers via local network.

Thanks in advance everyone!
