I built my PC last night and set up Windows at my club. I took it home AN HOUR LATER, set it up, and went to install my drivers. I didn't get a signal on my monitor. I tried about 8 times and then gave up cause I was tired. I woke up the next day and deside to try using an hdmi cable to my tv. Still no signal. Can someone please help?! Everything I try doesn't work!

Try connecting the monitor to the motherboard and test if that works. If it does, then it may be your GPU. If you are using your MOBO HDMI connector, try your GPU's HDMI and see if that works.

I've connected through the motherboard with both the hdmi and the vga cable but I didn't know you could connect to the gpu. I have an nvidia 670. How would I connect it? Should I try taking it out and putting it back in?

with the pci-e gpu in your machine is defaulting to the gpu... you NEED to plug the monitor cables into the back of the gpu not the back of the motherboard.
