Air cooling advice.

Hello all. I have a Corsair Carbide Air 540 with 3 AF140 Quiet Edition fans as exhaust and 3 SP120 High Performance Edition fans as intake. Also using the Noctua NH-D14.

Have I gone wrong by choosing the 3 SP fans for intake? The middle one is at full speed while the other 2 are controlled by the fan curve settings I choose in the EZTune app from Gigabyte. I figured since the fan filter was there that these might excel in pushing more air. Should I have gone with just another 2 AF140's? My temps are seeming good but maybe they could be a little better.

4770K OC to 4.4 ghz at 1.140 volts. Idle temp averages around 30•C while very high setting on intel burn test at 100 load the hottest it got was 83•C. Aida64 averaged out to 56•C.

Thanks!

Well from what I've read haswell likes to run a tad hotter than 3770k....but by resetting the position, what do you think is wrong with it? Do you mean I put it on too tight, too loose, too much thermal paste...or??...I know it's pretty straight on there. Due to my unfortunate(and sometimes fortunate) level of OCD it's as straight as my eye can see.

yup nevermind, for some reason i was thinking you had a 3770k, from what i have seen that is normal. you will never hit that temp while in normal use and if you do it is still ok. what is the temp at normal load like gaming?

Usually caps around 46 but for BF4 it hits 60 highest. But aside from all that I'm still unsure of my choice of intake fans! Maybe I should have gone with 2 af140 quiet edition or 3 af120 quiet editions instead of the static pressure 120's....I'm just not sure what's going to give me better airflow.
