I have an Intel Core 2 Quad 4 core Q8200 x64, Windows 7 64bit,
and im running the GTX 250 with it right now, but it's starting to poop out. Had this build since 2009. My mother board is a Gigabyte EP43 UD3L. Can anyone suggest one I should get to replace the graphics card I have now THAT will run Armed Assault 3 in most or max settings? I know I need to replace the processor soon but for the time being.

Solution
A Radeon 7790 or a GTX 650 Ti would pair well with that CPU and are both a giant upgrade from the GTS 250

Since you're looking to replace your CPU and mobo soon you could also look into the 650 Ti Boost/7850 or even the 660/7870/270x cards

Just be sure to get the 2gb version of whichever of those cards

In regards to ARMA 3 though, It wouldn't be running on maximum settings as of yet until you go for that system overhaul

Hey roland sorry to ask again. But ok, what I going to do now, since I just ordered a new HDD, I might end up getting a new CPU to replace the one I have now. ANy suggestions? I was thinking going with an i3 but later I was thinking of replacing the GPU as stated above. Or should i go with i5? And I was even thinking of getting the Zambezi 4170 which is cheaper but ive been hearing they are good but Intel is more integrated with Windows than an AMD. Will it matter much if I just changed the CPU and still used my old GTX250 for the time being with an upgraded CPU?

If you're going with an overhaul it really depends on your budget

I'd probably go with an FX-6300 (stay away from bulldozer CPUs), a 970 or 990FX motherboard with a decent CPU cooler, and a better GPU such as the 650 Ti Boost/7850 or 660/7870/270/270x or better (770/7970/280x) if it's within budget

i3s are pretty decent nowadays but if you're going the intel route I'd go with an i5, the i5-3330 can be found for fairly cheap depending on where you live

I don't know what they're talking about that Intel is more integrated with Windows, it just has better single threaded/core performance than AMD, so a dual core i3 is as powerful as a quad core from AMD and a quad core i5 is comparable to AMD's 6 or 8 cores

Oh i had looked up information comparing the Zambezi 4170 to an Intel i3, i5, or i7 and some say Intel is more geared for the Windows OS. I found some good prices for i3's so far. Some i5's are running a little under 200.00 Yeah, a budget is a concern but then again, I dont want to change out my system again in a couple of years, I still want it to be up in par with a lot of the newer games, particularly ArmA 3 which I hear has a terrible reputation of not being very software friendly when it comes to graphics engine and such.

Your best bet would be with an i5 and a compatible mobo (depending on if you're willing to pay extra or not for an overclockable chip or a standard i5)

These CPUs will definitely last you a fair couple of years, enough for you to upgrade your GPU down the line in 2 or 3 years

Arma 3 is known for not using all the cores of a CPU well so the powerful single threaded performance of an intel CPU would definitely help

Thanks man. Yeah, I am fixing to get the i5, but now its a toss up between the i5 4670 and the 4430. I do not plan to overclock either so a mobo that does the job without the overclocking ability will be fine. I will upgrade my GPU next month.

The 4670 should be roughly 10% quicker give or take, so it's your choice whether that extra price is justified

With the CPU and a decent mobo decided, go for the best GPU in your budget, or wait a few months until the next generation of cards are released
