I would say a mobile GT 750M compares to a Desktop GT 640.
I´m not sure you can get hold of these with 4GB VRAM but at least there are 2GB ddr3/ddr5 variants available.
Both are kepler gk107@28nm and have 384 shaders, 32 texture units, 16 render units.
GT 750M has tiny advantage in texture/pixel rates and a bit higher core speed as well (967MHz vs 900MHz).
