Video of the whining noise: took me a while to actually get it on camera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PkU0u4r9Aw

Cant remember when the noise started but it will happen completely randomly, although the noise doesn't usually happen right after start up usually takes about an hour and then i will start randomly hearing it. It does not seem to be linked at all to when the cpu or gpu (or both) are under high loads or low loads or somewhere in the middle... it is truly and completely random. Been trying to figure out where the hell its coming from for a good month now but have not been successful.....

I actually just replaced the 2 fans i had attached to my H70 Radiator (because when the whining would start i would see the fan actually slow down and after the whining was over i could see and hear the fan speed back up so i thought the fan motor was dying and replaced them with the sp120s) But getting them replaced didnt help anything because they still slow down and speed back up when it whines....

So now that i know its not those fans ive been looking at my gpu fans during the whining and there is no difference at all from start to stop other than possibly a small increase in gpu usage (as seen in the video above)... And in addition to the gpu fans ive also checked the extra case fan that i have and that has nothing to do with it either.

So im left with the fact that it has nothing to do with fan motors dying, and it isnt a result of any increase or decrease of gpu or processor load so... the only thing i can think of is that its my h70 liquid cooler but at this point im definitely still open to opinions because i really dont want to spend $90 on another liquid cooler to find out thats not the problem at all

Any help is appreciated

Computer specs: I7 2600k liquid cooled with Corsair H70 and 2 Corsair SP120's attached to the radiator, Radeon HD 6870, 8 GB DDR3 Ram, WD black 1 TB 6GB/s, Seagate 1TB 3 GB/s, and Asus P8P67 Deluxe with p67 B3 Revision mobo.

Ok. My H80i reports the pump speed only with a 3 pin connector(like a normal fan has) but gets power from a SATA plug.

I also have a Zalman LQ 310(Asetek model like the H70, but with NO fan control, my board has to control its fan or fans) on my video card it gets power and reports pump speeds on a normal 3 pin header as well. My Zalman makes a constant clicking sound, but hopefully and RMA will fix that.

I would recommend running the pump off a molex to fan adapter if you can. If you still hear the noise, you may be able to try to run the fans of the board(if you have the needed headers) to see if it is any better.

To be honest i dont think there is a way to check pump speed on the h70 because it doesnt have corsair digital link, but im pretty sure fan speed control is off, and the fans on the actual radiator are connected to a socket coming from the h70 and the h70 is connected to mobo. (ill upload some pics tomorrow)

So these 3 pics are of my setup right now

So these show that the two fans connected to my radiator are connected to the liquid cooler via a split connection, and the liquid cooler then combines that connection (and turns it around) and then the cooler is plugged into the CPU FAN slot via a 3 pin... My third fan (the one you see above the liquid cooler and to the right) is connected via 3 pin to the PWR FAN1 slot, and my motherboard again is a Asus P8P67 Deluxe with b3 revision.
