My old PSU fried a couple weeks ago and I only just got around to replacing it. I've hooked up everything I can see, and my computer seems to be working fine (all fans on, all drives on, mobo on, cpu+fan on, etc) except I'm getting no image from my graphics card. It has a red light on the top of the card so it's definitely getting power (I have a 8+6 connector in it, tried it with just the 8, still no picture).

What can I do to troubleshoot this and/or to prove that my PSU fried my GPU and I need a new one?

ASUS 1GB 6950 DCUII
ASUS P8P67-V
Seasonic M12II Bronze

Thanks!

UPDATE--
I took out my GPU and have my monitor plugged into my mobo. I am getting a picture, everything seems to be working fine. Anything else I can do to prove my GPU died?

Hi

Are your gpu's fans working? Also if you have a case speaker connected, you can identify IF there is a gpu fault by the "beep" pattern

Hope this helps!

Yes, the fans were working when the GPU was plugged in.
I'm not familiar with what you mean by the "beep" pattern, but I can plug speakers in to the mobo easily

This might help

http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_8534495_install-motherboard-s...

You need to buy a case speaker, or probably your motherboard or case came with one. Then follow the instructions in the link above to install it. Once you connect everything and boot your pc up, then (from the pc speaker) you will hear different beep sounds. Record the pattern (i.e. the frequency of the beep sounds) using your mobile or what have you. Once you 've done that, contact us here again.

This is what the beeps should sound like

P.S. Your computer's external speaker won't do the job!

I just spent the last half an hour or so looking for an internal speaker port on the mobo and a small speaker that came with the case. I found neither haha.. I did build it 2 years ago so I may have misplaced the actual speaker but I still don't really know where to look or if it's already built in or something. Sorry :/

My mobo is actually a p8z68-v
