Good Day,

I was planning on buying a 850W PSU and I'm kinda confused which PSU is a better deal

Corsair TX850M 850watts 80PLUS Bronze

or

Seasonic M12II-850 850W 80PLUS Bronze

or

Any suggestions

Thank you and have a great day

Performance (40% of the final score) - you will remember that I took a half point off the score on the XFX versions of this unit due to ripple being very good indeed, but stopping short of the best unit's I'd ever seen. Well, Corsair took that same platform and is now showing us what is possible from this platform. Every aspect of this unit's performance was excellent from the regulation to the ripple suppression to the efficiency. That said, I'm still not quite sure I'd lump this in with the best of the best. And so, somewhat reluctantly, I'll give it the same score of 9.5. It's a little better unit than its cousins, but not quite improvement enough for me to give it that elusive perfect score.

it is from johnnyguru, the best authority on psu's. he rates the corsair at 9.5 out of 10 and the seasonic at 9.4 out of 10

both are great

google "johnny guru Corsair TX850M"
and "johnny guru Seasonic M12II-850"

first one that comes up is what i was trying to refer you to.

if you go to the scoring at the end it sums up everything.

Functionality (20% of the final score) - there's not a lot to complain about here. The cables are well sleeved, there are no sharp edges on the housing for them to abrade against, and there are more than enough connectors to plug in a reasonable amount of hard drives. But there is at least something to whine about - the lack of a second EPS12V connector. I really want to start seeing those on more 750W and up units. Some boards make use of two such connectors, and it would be nice if this unit supported that. 9.

Value (30% of the final score) - these units have an MSRP of $139. Being a brand new product, Newegg currently has them for $149.99. But, they are expected to go for the same price the older generation TX850 was going for before too long. At Newegg, that comes out to be $129.99. That price would be 100% dead on in target with its cousin over at XFX, and about $10 more expensive than the Silverstone OP850. That is a fantastic value, so I'm going with a 9.5 here.

Aesthetics (10% of the final score) - Corsair units almost always come to my house looking good, and this one is no different. 9.5.

this is the seasonic.

Performance (40% of the final score) - how about we get some scoring done now? No, this isn't the best performing power supply I've seen from Seasonic, but it's still not bad at all. Instead of being one of the best the world's ever seen, like the KM3 based units, this unit is merely just really, really good. Efficiency was a pass both times for Bronze - no issues there. Ripple control was outstanding, no problem there. About the only thing I can see to deduct would be a half point for the voltage regulation being only very good as opposed to excellent. That's all. This category gets a very strong 9.5.

Functionality (20% of the final score) - only fully modular units get no deductions here, and this is one of those kinds of units, so we're starting out pretty good. I can't, in fact, find too many reasons to complain. Sure, I could use a little more length on one of the SATA chains, and the manual's almost useless, but those are a couple of minor things. I'll remove a half point for each of them. But, I'll stop there. This unit's worth a 9 here I think.

Value (20% of the final score) - MSRP for this unit is $119.99. At Newegg, you have the Corsair TX850M competing at ten bucks cheaper, and there's the XFX Pro 850W for the same price. But you know what? Neither of those are fully modular. I'm going to go ahead and therefore call this an excellent value. 9.

Build Quality (20% of the final score) - Seasonic is doing pretty well here lately. Top notch components, impeccable soldering, and overall fantastic build quality is what we have here today. 10.
