computer problem windows 7

1. takes long time to start.
2.sometimes does not show the 4 colours of windows and doesnt start
3.only safe mode can be accessed
4.other accounts remain BLANK (black screen) with only cursor.
Plz really need help for my laptop + a recommendation of a good anti virus

i suspect your HDD, have you tried a clean instal of windows? if it still persists after that try to run a diagnosis tool for HDDs (HDD Disk Regenerator).
If you use Windows,and its not pirated, then you could instal as anti virus, Microsoft Security Essentials... it is free and uses very little resources.
