CPU intel i5 4570
GPU GTX 650 Ti Boost
RAM 1333Mhz 2x2gb (8-8-8-20)
Current max resolution 1366x768

With my current rig im sure i can run this new games, but i want to know how well it will run it?
- FPS in BF4, crysis3, planetside2,Metro
Any Bottleneck?
-FPS in 1080p (future upgrade)
Any bottleneck?

Currently playing BF3, COD's, all max'd out.. 60-70Fps.
I don't usually play MULTI.

Is there any significant improvement if ill upgrade to i5 4670k?
(I have z87 board)

Solution
Yep, get a 2x4GB DDR3-1600 kit. Currently a single 650 Ti Boost will be playing ultra at 1366x768 without any problems, it's good enough to play at high settings at 1080p as well. Go for the 1080p screen then the boost next year :D
The 650 Ti Boost is designed to play games at "High" settings at 1080p, and it should do so for a year or two (unless newer games suddenly became Crysis 3 levels of demanding). Crysis 3, Metro and BF4 should be playable at high settings at 40-60FPS at 1080p, Planetside 2 does not really run well on any system to be honest with you.

The priority in upgrading for gaming would be your GPU for future games at 1080p. Nvidia and AMD will be introducing a whole new generation of cards next year (not mostly rebrands like this year) too. By then you could pick up a middle-higher end Maxwell (Nvidia codename) card as an upgrade to the 650 Ti Boost and be running games at Ultra for a few more years.

As of now, there is no real bottleneck in your system, though faster RAM (DDR3-1600 or DDR3-1866 if your mobo supports it) would be a nice future investment as well

The performance difference between a 4570 and a stock 4670k is barely noticeable, though since you have a Z87 board it's worth it to replace the 4570 with the 4670k in the long run, add a CPU cooler like the Xigmatech GAIA and overclock to eliminate future bottlenecks.

Thanks a lot for the info,... Will it do fine if i SLI my boost.? Because prices here are bit high so probably by mid of next year i can get another boost with huge price cut as new GPU's comes out. Just for reference i got my gtx 650 ti boost for 226$

So 4670k will give more performance to game? Like 1-10fps? And you say i can play high with this rig @1080p and ultra then @768? And can you suggest me which brand of RAM should i go for?

Im not going to overclock 4670k until after a year or two when its gets a little bit dull.. Or just overclock it just enough for the stock cooler for now.

A stock 4670k will not really give you any fps improvement, overclocked is a different story (especially in the future).

A single 650 Ti Boost running at 1366x768 would be playing at ultra not problem.

Getting another 650 Ti Boost would be a nice performance boost too so that's a good option, and would give you near GTX 770 levels of performance, you'll be running ultra at 1080p with that, just hope that your PSU can supply both. Don't overclock with the stock cooler, it's a bit risky so just go for a new cooler right off the bat.

The best brands of RAM are generally G.Skill and Mushkin, personally I prefer the G.Skill Ripjaws :D
You'll see negligible improvements with new RAM, but it's still a welcome future upgrade
I don't know what your motherboard can support up to so I'll just list them all
1600 MHz

1866 MHz (a bit expensive compared to the 2133 kit I found)

Thanks for the reply.,, i have 825watts power supply so i think it could handle 2 boost without any issues.

Bout RAM Im not sure if those RAM you link is available here in my place. This is where im getting my parts http://www.softland.com.sa/index.php?route=product/category&path=24_62&page=2 and i cant seem to find any Gskill

My current mobo http://www.softland.com.sa/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_163_164&product_id=1823
And to support SLI i will upgrade to either of these:
http://www.softland.com.sa/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_163_164&product_id=1831
or
http://www.softland.com.sa/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_163_164&product_id=1806

And i think ill get 1080p monitor first before 2nd boost,.. So will it be fine for a while handling ultra @1080p with the current titles?

In that case just stick with whichever decent kit you can find, but really your current RAM is fine, the difference between 1333 and 1600 etc. in gaming is not much so that shouldn't be a priority

Since you're looking into a new board why not wait till next year and pick up an upcoming Maxwell GPU? The performance should be much better than getting another 650 Ti Boost and should probably cost as much as another boost+mobo (plus we generally recommend a single superior card over two cards since multi-GPU systems are a bit fiddly etc).

Well i wont actually buy a new board,. Ill return this current one which only a week old. And the vendor gave me 15 days to change or upgrade any part i bought from them. So its like spending just 20-25 dollars for that board upgrade. And another 20-25$ for CPU.

And yea ive read a lot bout single card superiority. But i cant dispose my boost or even resell it here,. And i think its not very nice to let this month old boost go to waste after getting a single card setup,.
Sorry i cant explain well with my bad english. But simply ill spend twice the amount getting a 770 or 760 than just SLI'ng my boost,..

So spend cheaper and getting almost same performance?

So betweeen 770 over an SLI gtx 650 ti boost is the FPS difference really noticeable?

Yeah but you get what you pay for....2 770's are over 600 dollars,...2 760's are still really good...do that if you can but your card is good for high settings :)

Pick as solution if it helped

If that's the case then go for that SLI board and SLI those two 650 Ti Boosts, it's powerful enough to last you a few years.

Once those cards become outdated, overclock that 4670k and get a superior single GPU (whichever new cards come out in 2 or 3 years), that would be the best upgrade path possible without wasting that current 650 Ti Boost

A single 770 and 650 Ti Boost SLI should go neck and neck, the 770 is preferred because it doesnt have the issues that come with SLI, but getting another boost is your cheapest option. I know that pricing over there is more expensive, so might as well go for the SLI option, cheaper and gets you great performance if you don't mind tweaking a little.

Well not really, coz look i can get 770 yes with i5 4570. 770 will cost me 375$( price in my location) while i can get 4670k + SLI 650 ti boost which is cheaper. 650 ti boost cost only 230$ here. So i save atleast 100$ getting SLI board after that. And i can spend that 100$ for a better RAM.

So do you still suggest i should get 770?

Stick with the SLI option and upgrade in 3 years, since that is cheaper than going with the and the 4670k is overclockeable right off the bat with a nice cooler. Don't spend that $100 on better ram yet, the performance difference isn't worth it to make it a top priority right now.

If you went with the 4570 and 770 you'd spend more in future towards an overclockeable CPU and that'd cost you another $200 to $250. And since switching out a CPU is annoying, stick with the 4670k+ SLI 650 Ti Boost and upgrade in two or three years, whenever you feel like the cards aren't doing well enough. By then a middle end card should have more performance than a GTX 780 Ti or Titan

Yes I do. I just bought a Sapphire Toxic R9 280x (Better than the 770) Its 360$, if you can get that, get it. Its a beast. But the 770 is the card for the games that are out now for High 1080p or ultra at about 45-60fps.

"Spend more on your GPU Than your CPU"

An overclocked i5 would give you better upgradability, and since you're going to upgrade the GPU down the line as well, you might as well go with the cheaper option since they'll both give you the same performance as of now.

A few years down the line and the non overclockable 4570 will start to hold you back, by then an overclocked 4670k would give you much better performance should you decide to upgrade the GPU.

I would say go for an i5 4670k. Thats just the sweet spot!

Thanks :)

I mean c'mon.

A 650ti and a 4570 a brag? I wonder how his PC is xD

My idea of a budget GPU is the R9 270x. Gigabyte windforce edition....I got 3 people to buy that card yesterday XD Very good and only 200$!
