Hi there all, im not a total techie, but have built my last few computers so would be at lower end of intermediate i would guess.
I have a 3 yr old setup im looking to upgrade as my new job means i have to 3D model at home and use some fairly demanding programmes, which my computer stutters with, currently running an i5 750 and 2x2Gb 1066 Corsair XMs3 DDR3 RAM, running Win 7 Home Premium.
I was looking at a good deal on GSKILL ripjaws, 2 x 4Gb 2133mhz and was wondering if:
1) My motherboard would take it (only recognises to 1600, but this deal is same price as the 1600 set so maybe i could OC it????)
2) would i notice a difference to what im running now??
3) at £60 for the upgrade, is this the best performance value i could get?
Im a bit green on overclocking, and have a new noctua dual heatsink and fan given to me by a friend who went water cooled - but may fit it and have a read up on speeding up the cpu and new ram.
Thanks in Advance
Scot
