PCI-e 3.0 problem - MSI GTX 760 and Asus Sabertooth z77

Hello,
Today I bought MSI GTX 760 graphics card. It is PCI-e 3.0
And, my motherboard is Asus Sabertooth Z77 which also has Pci-e 3.0.. So, I connected the card to the first PCIe slot. But, when the computer booting up, it shows "Using PCI-e gen 2"
Why is that? how to activate PCI-e 3.0 ?

Run GPU-Z and start a render test (the little blue ? next to the Bus Interface reading)

During the test the reading should display "PCI-E x 16 @ 16 3.0"

Some cards power down to a slower interface speed when idle.

yep.. I changed it to PCI-e 3
but when booting it still shows PCIe Gen 2
But, in windows, if I run GPU-Z, it says PCI-e 3.0

How can I surely know is this running on PCIe 2 or PCIe 3?
