Are you able to print anything (e.g. a web page, text file) on your printer?

Hi Alabalcho, I can print web pages, stuff from other sources, but not my Inkscape stuff. My OS is Ubuntu.

Thanx Stillblue for your attention, won't print means that the job is still 'pending' after two weeks. I'll try your suggestion of exporting as a jpeg, and see if that makes a difference. Scanning - no idea how to scan at all, any tips welcome.

Printing- go to Print then Job. Did your image somehow get placed on hold?

Scanning- Easiest way is to install simple scan. There's a reason that it is called that. You probably don't want to scan direct into inkscape until you get a little more experience with it because the results probably won't be what you expect.

Hey Stillblue, sorry about the in-attention, no luck yet despite your kind advice, but the other day, when I switched on the printer it printed the stuff in the queue, that had been 'pending' for weeks. Now I'm not sure if this stuff was what I had converted to jpeg or not must do some more scientific type tests to try and get a better idea of what is actually happening. Glad to have you on my side though.

Your answer before had nothing in it that is why I jokingly said "speechless".

Glad to hear the gremlins moved out.
