Hi there,
I have built quite a few computers before, but they have always been High Spec and so have always run really quietly.
However i have just built a cheap low spec PC for my dad, just to be used for basic office use. When i turn it on, it seems to run really quite loud, dispite the fact that all of the key components claim to be 'silent'. Here is a list of components used:
EZcool ATX-500 Watt PSU
80mm Silent Fan (tested seperately and are silent)
120mm Silent Fan (tested seperately and are silent)
CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 Evo CPU Fan
WD Caviar Green 1tb Hard Drive
ASUS DVD-RW Drive
8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM
MSI 760GM-P21 Motherboard
Could anyone please identify which component do you think is causing the biggest noise issues?
