There are a few factors to take into consideration. Budget. Daily use. Cooling capability. Interest in overclocking. In most tasks, the 8320 will outperform the i5 3330, especially when overclocked. The i5 may be marginally better for games that rely heavily on a single thread, but the difference would likely be unnoticeable. Also, if games are optimized for next gen consoles (multiple thread utilization), then the 8320 will be a better deal.

Newer games are starting to become more and more reliant on multiple threads, and thus utilize more threads more efficiently.
