Hello!
I got a new sound blaster Z sound card, for the past few months I've been using the speaker slot for my headphones as I run my sound through a capture card, but I recently tried using the actual headphone slot, direct with my headphones. The quality if incredible compared to the speaker slot but it seems to randomly change what I hear. usually I will, at first, hear normal audio,m the sound coming to my ears in the correct sides, but after a few seconds there will be a sound somewhere between a pop and a crackle and it will change seemingly randomly to
(1) hearing all but the bass in both ears when I should hear something from the left, and only the bass when there is a noise from the right,
(2) the sound flipped so I hear sounds from my left on my right and vis-versa,
(3) hearing everything in one or the other ear.
Obviously I can't really use them like this, I have tried this extensively using the headphone sound test thing, to get all these flavoursome if annoying outcomes. It seems to be completely random and happens at random times. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
