Hi guys

I received my new processor and my liquid cooling, but after installing it, my PC won't boot. I can se that the lights and all the fans are running, but there is no picture when I connect my PC to my monitor.
I tried to install my old CPU, but then my GPU couldn't run, the fan just stopped.
I see that there is a lot of people that have this problem, but it seems like I can't find an actual solution to it.
Is there any thing to do, I can't update my BIOS because I can't see anything on the screen, even with my old CPU.
After install, there also came 3 beeps, and after install of the old CPU, there was 4 beeps.

My system specs is:

Mobo: Acer predator G3610
Old CPU: Intel i5 2320
New CPU: Intel i7 3770k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 550 ti
PSU: cooler master GX 750 W
Liquid cooling: Intel TS13X liquid cooling solution

Please ask if you have any questions, and I'll be answering as quick as possible.

Thanks!!

No I didn't, I made sure only to put the thermal paste on the CPU.
Should I take the computer apart, and then install all the old parts? Do you think that would work?

It depends on the nature of the three beeps. One three beep set is for no video adapter dectected, the other is for bad BIOS.

This is in your motherboard manual.

If your code does indicate the video card acc. to the code book above, then re-seat your video card and re-seat all power cables to the card, making sure they are all connected.

If you still receive no video signal, then you'll need to isolate the issue - test with a known good video card in your motherboard (or plug your card into another system) to determine if the issue lies with the card or the motherboard.

Another possibility is that the PSU has partially failed and is not delivering power on that rail or cable. You can either test that by plugging in a known good PSU, or you can buy a multimeter to test it with ($20 at radio shack or walmart). Put the black lead into the socket for any of the black wires on the pci-e connector (ground), and the red lead into the socket of each yellow wire, one at a time.

Did you check with Acer to make sure the motherboard is compatible with the new CPU?

On the Acer web site, I can not find the model G3610

They seem to have model numbers like this AG3-605-UR21

Then it can't be right. As soon as I get home, I will check if I can find the name of the mobo.

I reinstalled all the old things, but my GPU still doesn't work, I have connected to the PSU and the motherboard, is there anything I've missed?

I get one short beep, and the PC should be good to go, but the GPU still doesn't run?
I bought a whole new battery and installed it, and nothing?…

When you reset the factory defaults, you may have enabled the onboard video and disabled the video card. Check in the BIOS.

Just to make sure, try plugging the monitor in to both the onboard video and the video card, to see if something works.
