Hello, I just got my 2nd Sapphire 7970 Ghz vapor-x today and I can't get them to work.
So I installed the card in the right pcie and put on the bridge and power connectors of course,
My computer didnt recognize the other card at first, then I uninstalled my drivers 13.11 beta7 and tried to install the latest one beta8. It uninstalled prefecty but then when I tried to install the new drivers it just went to a black screen while installing and stayed there for a very long time. So I shut down my computer and tried to install the 13.9 drivers and it keep doing the same thing, black screen after like 50% on installing the drivers and then nothing happens and I have to restart my computer again. So now I can't install any drivers. Help :(?

One of the cards is defective. I had similar problems with a couple of Powercolor HD 7870 XT cards. They worked fine on their own but would not function properly in crossfire. I have two Gigabyte Windforce HD 7970s in crossfire and they worked perfectly from day one. You should have both cards diagnosed to discover which one is the problem. Take the second one back to where you purchased it to see if they can diagnose if that is the faulty card.

Can I diagnose it somehow? Because i bought it on a website, I can't go to their shop :/

Btw, is the second card supposed to turn of and turn on when i start a game or something demanding, is that some kind of power saving feature?

Yes it does turn off as a power-saving feature. As for diagnosing it yourself, not a chance unless you have a third 7970 to test with. If you bought them off of a site, well, here's the risk you run to get it for less. Big-ticket items like this are things that I only ever buy in a store for just this reason. You'll have to send them both back and wait. Your other option is to just not have crossfire even though you paid handsomely for it.

I think I got it working, i installed the 13.9 drivers with one card, and then put in the other card after. It recognized it and turned on crossfire and now i get like 80-125 fps in bf4 from before when i only got 50-70fps with only one card, and I did Unigine Heaven 4.0 benchmark and got twice as much score than with only one card, so I think it´'s working but Im not sure because I get pretty bad FPS in WoW, but I read on forums that alot of people said it was the 13.9 driver that did it :S
