This is my first time building a pc and i would appreciate some help.

I want to squeeze out best performance out of least amount of money because i got a tight budget.

For mu gpu i decided to go with r9 270x link, for the cpu fx 6300 link and 8 GB of ram link.
For the psu i thought of going with a 630W link.

So i am wondering which motherboard would go good with this providing me with a capability to overclock. Also if i have some better choices for other components.

Thanks in advance

AMD FX processors need motherboards with 970 or 990 series chipsets .

The 970 limits you to one graphics card , the 990x lets you run two by splitting the bandwidth to the graphics cards in half [ like intel do ] and the 990FX supplies two full x16 graphics card lanes that some motherboard can split to support 4 graphics cards .

IMO the best overclocking 970 chipset motherboard is the ASUS M5A97 r2.0 . It has digitally controlled voltage regulators and large heatsinks .

If you might use 2 graphics card at some time in the future then the Gigabyte GA-FX990FXA is a good choice

Thanks for the answers, and i wont be using 2 gpu-s but at some point i might upgrade to 280x. Also to mention i don't really want to spend over ~120$ (but i could if it would make a huge difference).

Stick with the ASUS M5A97 r2.0 I linked earlier .

Performance is the same as the 990 boards . Its well within your budget and its an excellent overclocker

I went for the asus m5a97 r2.0 like you suggested and i ordered it so now i just have to wait (the shop i ordered from didn't even have mb-s that ACTechy suggested).

Thanks again for the help.
