Sapphire HD 6670 2GB. Can my PC run it ? :(

hey guys..

i have an old Intel motherboard DG43NB and I have ATI Radeon 4650 installed. Im thinking about buying Sapphire HD 6670.

My pc specs Are:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80 GHz, 2 GB DDr2 Ram(thinking about 4GB).

So can my Pc like Run this card that i wana buy or not ? Need help

As long as your PSU is 300W, you should be fine (Technically one as low as like 210W could be fine...but that's really pushing it).

Your PCI-E slot is 2.0 in case you were wondering. So that's good to go.

yes the PSU that i have is 350 W already installed but on the website it says that the card needs at least 400W PSU. so should i buy a new PSU ?

And one other thing, i have ddr2 can i install like ddr3 cuz ddr2 rams are more expensive than ddr3. and will it run ??

As far as memory type, you are limited to what the motherboard supports.

you don't need another power supply.

this is the memory your board supports..............DDR2 667 MHz or DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM DIMMs

So i shouldn't replace the power supply then ? i dont want that if i run it on this card it'll screw my card or anything

You don't need a new power supply. If your hd 4650 was able to run on it just fine, then there won't be a problem with the hd6670. The HD6670 uses <10W more than the hd 4650.

whats the reall diff between b/w 1gb card and 2gb card ? should i go for 1gb version of this card of 2gb ? cuz i dont really know how much of diff will it make or can make.

I have a 6670 and rarely exceed 1 GB on it. I would just stick with 1 GB unless you have a reason for more.

Go for the 1gb ddr5 version if you can. There is a decent performance gap between it and the 2gb ddr3 version.
