I was wondering myself, so I asked the manufacturer directly.

Here is the answer (verbatim)

Hi,

The Kraken 7,.1 is not compatible with the PS3.

These are not the Kraken, but they are still a razer surround sound headset that is compatible with Xbox and PS3. I have seen these get better ratings then any Turtle Beach. You can also buy a conversion cable to convert 3.5mm jacks to and rca or optical digital or other connection you want. Then from there you can hook up your headset to whatever. I used the Tiamat 7.1 on my 360 and it was pretty great having that quality of sound.

I actually ended up getting these headphones for a present. I did test them on my ps3 and they do work but only for the microphone part of the headset. No game audio will go threw the headphones at all.
