well that is what i have chosen ....little over my budget but i will make it work somehow
is there a huge difference in the thermal compounds ?...does it usually come with the processor?and is it worth getting aftermarket stuff?
there will probably be some overclocking involved but dont think id need it right away
as the pc i have been using to play games with is an 6 yr old intel core 2 duo at 2.44ghz with 2g of 533 ram and a radeon hd 4670 agp series gpu so i think this should be thousands of times better ...and i plan on ordering all the parts later on this week

well thank you in advance for opinions and suggestions
Mike

True enough I feel the same way with the ram. I don't plan to upgrade to win 8 so it leaves me open for the ram upgrade over time. I gotcha with the GPU/MOBO if its a good deal for you awesome :)

Unless you care about 1 degree or less difference thermal paste does not matter. The thermal paste comes with the aftermarket cooler and yes you need a aftermarket cooler. Besides that all your choices are great.

This is a great build, I take it you like Gigabyte? As for the difference in thermal compounds? Not very big difference, maybe a degree or two, nothing you need to worry about unless you are doing some extreme overclocking. What comes with the 212 EVO will be just fine.
