My internet speed is 55 Mbps and an upload speed of around 5 Mbps, but when I try to load a webpage for example Wikipedia it takes around 1-2 minutes to load, even worse for websites with more content. The wierd thing is streaming videos and download speed in incredibly fast but loading webpages takes really long.

This is a DNS resolution issue. google has a open DNS 8.8.8.8 but they log all your traffic. I would look at your ISP DNS and set your router to use them. I your router is a cheapo Linksys netgear or d-link or some low end consumer router that could be your issue other than DNS.

My router is a dual core CPU with 2gig memory and a 1gig buffer so I process extremely fast.

I have cleared all the data for chrome but will try re-installing, but it's worth nothing that this occurs with all my web browsers.

You are an absolute godsend. I just made this change and it fixed my problems. I've been on the phone with my ISP 4 times in the last 12 hours. I don't know if you'll ever read this since it's over a year after, but thank you.
