It's a just a slight out of budget, but it's a quite a lot more powerful than a GT 630. Here's a benchmark of the HD 6670 against a GT 640 (which is obviously more powerful than a GT 630)...

I'd recommend the GT 640, except it's somehow more expensive than the low profile HD 6670.
For low-profile, your choices are severely limited by space, budget and by the strength of your power supply. The most powerful GPU you'll be able to get is the Radeon HD 6570: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102994
AMD recommends at least a 400W PSU so if you have a 250W or 300W, you're out of luck I'm afraid. You might be able to run it with a 350W but there are no guarantees.

The wattage recommended by Nvidia and AMD are jokes. GPUs as powerful as the HD 7750 can be run on an 300 W PSU assuming it's from a somewhat reliable PSU manufacturer and there's enough amps running on the 12V rail. Other than that, for something like an HD 6570 or a more powerful HD 6670 a 300 W power supply is fine.

It's true, but as I said, there are no guarantees. I don't know any brand-name PSU manufacturers that make slimline PSUs except for Seasonic and I seriously doubt that he has one of those. This sounds like someone who bought a brand-in-a-box slimline and has since realised that the on-board GPU isn't even close to powerful enough for gaming. I always caution people not to push their PSUs because the results of that could be catastrophic to the computer and consequently, their wallets.

6670 and GT 640 is out of your budget.
There is a reason why I said the GT 630 because of it's price for only 50 dollars (unlike the 6670 80 dollars) yet a decent performance.
Here is low profile version of the GT 630: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121778
