Did my motherboard get fried?

I was messing with one of my fans because it wasn't working but the LED was. So I plugged it into my mobo (Asrock 970 extreme3) then turned on my computer and it smoked, then the fan stopped working. So I plug in my display to see if it still worked and no image is coming up. My GPU, CPU and PSU etc are all still turning on and working, did it only fry my MOBO? And when I press the power button it turns it on, but when I hold it down to turn it off it doesn't turn off.

Smoke just came up from the general area where the fan was plugged into the mobo.

I don't see any burn marks, but do you think in this case it only fried my mobo and nothing else? (gpu cpu etc)

you may not see any burn marks. Back int he old days I had a buddy who wasn't paying attention and he plugged something small in the wrong area. Turned on the PC and tons of smoke but no burn marks.
