Hi. I just did a Passmark Benchmark test for my rig and noticed that my scores were too low.

My rig has:

FX 8350
32GB G.skill Intl F3-1866C9-32GXM (Ripjaws x Series 8gb x 4 1866)
Sabertooth 990FX r 2.0 (1502 BIOS)
AMD Radeon 7950 HD
Samsung 830 pro + WD750GB
CX 600 (corsair PSU)

Benchmark website says my memory usually scores

15.5 GB/s for read uncached
10.4 Gb/s for write transfer
23 ns latency

But result I got was

6130 MB/s read uncached
2768 Mb/s write transfer
71 ns latency..

haha.. I have no idea what's going on.. Is this a common issue? Can someone help?

Scores with an Intel based system tend to be a significantly higher than with the AMD systems. So typically you can't max out the performance of high end RAM on an AMD platform.

Yikes, but is it normal that the scores are this low?

Pretty much, the MC (memory controller) in AMD CPUs is weaker than Intels and AMD doesn't put much into R&D, the optimize for only using 2 sticks of DRAM and in smaller amounts

Did you configure settings in BIOS? That is a lot of RAM, and it is DDR3-1866, so if you did not input settings correctly, the system can be very slow. The memory controller is most likely overloaded.

Here is our guide for DDR3-1866 that may help:
