Does not reconize my memory

Bought a mother Board (1155, MSI Z77A-G45), processor (GA 1155 i7-377OK) and memory(16GB (8X2) DDR3 Corsair Dominator.). When it boots up it will freeze while loading windows. Looked and it shows I have 16384MB of memory! I'm not real versed in computers but I have built 3 others of my own with no trouble. I'm stuck. Help please.

That shows right, do you have the latest BIOS? MSi is a little slow on BIOS updates

BIOS is E7752IMS V17.0 If not correct how do I go about getting the newer BIOS?

Downloaded updated BIOS and flashed. Now it won't even go into BIOS. Starts, stays on for 14 seconds then turns off for 5sec. Just keeps on cycling, on/off on/off.
