Toshiba 1TB Stor.e Partner external hard drive vs. my MacBook Pro

Hello, I recently purchased the Toshiba 1TB Stor.e Partner external hard drive. I am a mac user, and it looks like this hard drive may be compatible only with PC's. I am wondering if it is possible to download a driver or something in order to make it operate with my Mac? I cant seem to find anything to help me with this. Worst case scenario is to return it, but its a nice piece of kit and I'd like to use it if i can. Thanks in advance,

Worked it out myself in the end. Love it when that happens!! So, I plugged it into my PC and right clicked on the HD. I then clicked on Format. In the Format menu I changed it to exFat and then clicked Format. The hard drive now works on my PC and Mac. Brilliant!

^^^^^^ Are we supposed to transfer all data onto something else while we Format the Toshiba hard drive or can all files and data be left on it while formatting it for the mac?
