8 to 8.1 upgrade stalling and doesnt finish

Damn, well good luck! (dunno how much googling you've been doing but took me a few days and about 10 attempts at installing it from the store to troubleshoot mine : /)

I was having the same issue. from what research i did, it could be a video driver issue, or in my case it was the Steelseries Engine which is not compatible with 8.1 (not sure if they have fixed that issue). so if you do have that program on your computer id uninstall it.

welcome :).Think you'd normally install it if you have one of thier USB headsets or mice/keyboards that are backlit and allow for changing of colors.
