Hi guys,

So currently i'm running GTX 570 SLI but am thinking about upgrading as i am 2 series behind now.

I have been looking at performance reviews and benchmarks for GTX 760 SLI as an adequate upgrade but I haven't really found a definitive answer as to whether this is a step forward or backward in performance compared to the cards i have now??

I have also been looking at GTX 770 SLI which offers quite a significant performance increase from what i have read but i'm not sure if i can justify spending THAT much. Plus do i REALLY get much of a performance increase when compared to 760 SLI? Is the cost to performance ratio big enough?

Also, I am specifically interested in Nvidia cards only.

Thanks for the advice.

the problem of the 760's will be the 2 gb vram.
speedwise it isnt anyproblem for games.

Yea ok but don't i already have less vram with the 570? Like 1.5Gb.

Yea for games mainly. I don't know what you mean by mod's or standard though? I have been able to run games in the past at quite high settings and i would like to do the same with the COD:Ghosts etc...

with a 760 sli u will run it at ultra.

the mod-question was about skyrim mods. some of them may take 3-4gb of vram :)

Ah i see! Don't play Skyrim! :p

So do you think it would be worthwhile getting SLI 770 compared to SLI 760's? Or cost-benefit isn't worth it?

actually getting 1 bigger card is better than 2 sli. u can get a 780 for that amount of money.
else 2 770 will work longer better than 2x 760

If I were you, I would buy a single 780 Ti to replace the 570 sli.

Really? I just looked at some more benchmarks and SLI 760's beat a single 780 hands down for cheaper. Also beats GTX Titan....? By the time i would want to upgrade to get another 780 the 880 or 980 could be out by then...

780 ti should outperform Titan.

760 sli should be good, but just a bit limited by the vram

Mmm...780 ti not released yet? Pricing expected to be around $1000 range as well?

Should be around $699 I thought. Comparable speed to the GTX 690 which is 2x 680s and 680s are a good bit faster than 760s.

Yea ok fair enough...

So Gigabyte GTX pricing for me is 760 = $300, 770 = $430, 780 = $630. So you think a single 780 for $30 extra then later down the track maybe get another 780?

I would say so. The 780 should be dropped to around $499:
