hi friends
i'm an mechanical engineering student & willing to buy pc of my own. since i'm going for netbooks [mainly because of battery & portability] , and in most netbooks they wont provide external graphics card. for design software like solidedge , catia solidworks etc does video cards [internal graphics card] are sufficient or is there a necessity of external one and if yes what is the minimum requirement.

on some software it speeds up the rendering of the work your doing.
(on a normal cpu you have 2-8 cores). if your using a nvidia card you could have upto 1700 cuda cores working together.
the newer intel hd3000 and 4000 are on soildworks listed of working chipsets.
