Pci express 3. supported card need pci express MB`

I am buying a new GTX 760 which is a pci express 3 supported card. so did i need a MB with pci express 3.

  1. I have PCIE 3.0 Card on PCIE 2.0 slot, Works just fine. There is no difference in 2.0 and 3.0 PCIE
  2. They are backwards compatible. If you are running 1920x1080 resolution you won't notice a performance decrease either as most games don't require the amount of bandwidth PCI-x 3.0 gives.

    I'm guessing you have a PCI-x 2.0 slot on your motherboard?

    ya ... why not ... if it iwll give some more performance in low temprature
