Hello,

i'm newbie to build pc. building first time.
i have gigabyte ga lmt 78 USB 3 motherboard. i'm just confused about RAM selection. on gigabyte site there is listed as the mobo suports 1333MHZ (oc) freq RAM. but i have read the memory support list and found that the mobo also supports 1600MHZ RAM.

also some people using corsair vengeance ram and they don't hav eny problem.but i just want to know if i buy 8gb corsair vengeance (one stick) then will it work with the mobo ? or i have to buy 8gb (2 sticks of 4 gb) ?

Please Help !

I would do to sticks so it takes the load of the motherboard trying to force it all into one. Dual sticks work better.

The RAM is depend on the cpu, like fx4100 1866mhz http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%2... Phenom II X6 1100T is only 1333mhz http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom%20II%20X6%...(HDE00ZFBGRBOX).html

You can buy one stick then the RAM will be in single channel mode and you will get lower performance that compares with the dual channel. o you are better to et the 2x4GB RAM.
