Hello!
I got a pair of Kingstone HyperX genesis DDR3 2x4GB 1600MHz. http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/hyperx/genesis.
Installed on my ASUS P7P55D-E LX along side 4GB 1600mhz Corsair, CL7 http://www.corsair.com/cmx4gx3m2a1600c7.html.
CPU: intel Core i5 760 2.8G 8M LGA1156 Box 95W
PSU: SeaSonic S12II series 520W 85+ (Bronze)
GPU: R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC
At first I installed the extra and had 12.0GB, 4GB usable.
I re-seated them and swapped positions, now 12.0GB, 8GB usable.
Went to msconfig, Maximum memory enable.
Chcked Resource Monitor and it has 4098mb under Hardware Reserved.
I made sure they're seated nicely. I tried to put the 2nd pair into slot 3/4 and it show the same 8gb available, meaning both the Ram and slots are ok.
Any idea what I could do?
I checked with Cpuz but not sure what I was supposed to see there. Difference in speed is 667 vs 800. Bios seem up to date but will double check it.
It's not on the direct list of dd3 capability on the manufacturing manual however , other people have seemed to be able to use it without issue, and the fact that it's working now. However, can it not work with the Corsair ones perhaps?
