I plan to upgrade my graphic card from MSI 560TI twin frozr to ASUS R9 280X.

But I am concern about my current CPU might bottleneck.

Current pc parts:

Proccessor: Intel I5 2320 3GHZ
RAM: Kingston 4 GB x 1pcs
Graphic card: MSI 560ti twin frozr
PSU: FSP Hexa series HE 500w

My concern are will my new r9 280x bottleneck by my i5 2320? is 500w enough for this new card?

Well first off I think you might have meant that you have an i3 2320, since I don't know of an i5 2320. As far as the R9 280x being run on a 500w PSU, it can do it IF you have a quality PSU. Which PSU do you have?

You might also want to upgrade your RAM, since I'm reading that BF4 likes 8 gb's of RAM.

Your CPU will be a bit of a bottleneck in multiplayer but if your playing at 1080p resolution it should be very playable. I would get one more stick of Kingston 4GB memory since BF4 64bit will use a little over 4GB, you will also get the benefit of the dual channel memory controller and its a very cheap upgrade. Right now BF4 is a bug ridden mess with crashes for all sorts of reasons so if your upgrading because of random crashes then don't it should all get sorted out in a few weeks.

Hi. Bare with me as I am a new user to this forum. Lunyone there is a intel i5 2320. I guess is the cheapest i5 ivy processor. The psu I am using is call FSP. An unknown brand. Ya I plan to upgrade to 8gb ram. To jamessneed , guess I have to upgrade my cpu. Is there a cheap haswell cpu thst can play bf4 ultra easily?

FSP is generally a pretty good PSU manufacturer, but I'm not sure about the Hexa model. Is it 80 PLUS Bronze Certified? Well if it isn't at least 80 PLUS Certified I might consider getting a new PSU too.

Yeap it is stated 80 PLUS standard in the FSP official website. So I guess is sufficient?

Thanks for the info. I hope I don't need to upgrade my psu and cpu at all. However, I will upgrade my ram to 8gb for sure.
