Hello everyone. I just bought a ne psu, memory and GPU, but after instaling the gpu everyting stopt working. I can't get passt the start screen on boot up saying I need to press "F2" to setup, but even after pressing "F2" I can't go trought the setup. I think it is because of the motherboard, but I would like to know what you guys think first, before I buy a new one.

My setup:

PSU Corsair Power Supply 850W TX M, Modular, ATX, PS/2
GPU GTX 760 2Gb OC edition(GT 545 now because the gtx won't boot)
RAM 8 gb DDR3 1333mhz
Ram 8gb DDR3 1333mhz (New)
CPU Intel i5-2400 quad core
Motherboard Pegatron 2ab5

Thank you.

[strike]RAM 8 gb DDR3 665mhz ?? Or is it 1600Mhz.[/strike]
Anyways, forget it.. but the configuration seems fine to run on that PSU.
What do you get on screen when you press F2, or it just restarts ?

Edit - Just saw that board in an HP, it states RAM the same as you did.Its 1333.My bad.lol:D

I get the motherboard bios screen saying I need to press F2 I do, it takes me to a black screen with the RAM showing, then 1 pip 3 times, then it shuts down.

Are you sure the GPU (gtx 760) was properly seated in its slot.It does cause that beep issues if not seated properly (1 long beep and 2 short ones I guess).

You can also try the other workaround - First remove your video card and then try resetting your BIOS settings.
Open the cabinet > Remove the CMOS battery for few minutes and then put it back properly. Now switch ON your PC.

EDIT - First, try to have the GPU seat properly and see, It should give a clicky feel and sound when installed properly. If it doesn't work for you, then try the second workaround stated above.

I think it was seated correctly, the pin did click. But I could try what you say, but let me see if I got it right.

Turn off the computer, take out my GT 545.
Turn it on again to see if it boots.
Connect my GTX 760 with the 8 pin connector, then try again? Is that right?

Turn off the computer, take out GT 545.
Turn it on again, go to BIOS, see if you can "reset it to defaults" from there. (or remove the CMOS battery for few minutes)
Turn off again.Plug in the GPU - GTX 760 (properly).
Start the PC again.

You should first try "reset to defaults" in the bios option.

If you can't find that, you can go ahead and remove the CMOS battery, leave it out for few minutes and place it back.
Check this - CMOS Battery
[strike]Use "google" to search for the term "cmos battery".You will see how it looks like. ;)[/strike]
