can u run it error? pls help

So i bought a new pc, I got a MSI twinfrozr r9 280x 3gb, but when I go to can u run it it says this:

And when I look in-depth it shows this:

What does this mean? How can I have 3.1gb dedicated, and a total of 400mb.

As I can see from higher up on the picture you submitted, you are running 32-bit Windows. You are probably aware that 32-bit Windows can only use about 3-4 GB of RAM. but it seems you were not aware that this applies to the total addressable memory in your system, which includes the RAM on your GPU.

I'm not an expert on this, and I'm sure someone else will be able to describe it in more detail and point out certain exceptions that I am missing, but I highly suspect that if you switch to 64-bit Windows, it will solve your problem.

I was tottaly not aware of that... I allways had a low-end pc.. 32-bit felt "natural"... gosh I have to start all over again.. Thank you very much

ROFL,, you are not using your 280x...you are using the built-in graphics from your CPU which is hd 3850....disable your hd 3850 at the device manager and reboot then install 280x drivers...

nah, it was just like mriehm said, 32 was bottlenecking the whole system, everything is fine now, thanks mriehm ;D
