Hi,

For the past couple of weeks my computer has been randomly turning completely off(no blue screen or any warning) when watching videos online, usually online although it has happened when I was watching videos on BBC News. The recent changes I have made to my PC have been adding a new SSD and re formatting the old one to use as a storage device.
It is not due to overheating and i guess not the PSU either as i have had a temp monitor open when watching videos that have been cut off. I also use my computer for gaming and can run most current games on medium or high setting without a problem of overheating or random turn offs. I also timed how long into watching different videos on my PC it would turn off and it varies from 20 mins to 3 to 4 hours, however it does happen every time i use my computer.
I have researched a bit and it maybe to do with RAM, if so is there anyway i could test this and would i have to buy new sticks? It may also be a fault in my motherboard which would be quite annoying but i need my PC fixed as this problem is very irritating.
I have recently been upgrading my computer overtime so the age of certain parts varies
Brief Spec-
AMD Phenom II X4 955(2ish years old)
Asus M4N68T-M V2(2ish years old)
Sapphire 7850(1 year old)
750w(i think) PSU(2ish years old)
120gb Samsung 840 Evo(1 month old)
1TB Hard Drive(2ish years old)
4GB RAM(2ish years old-not sure what make of type of RAM)
Windows 7 Home Premium
I would be happy to give any more information if you could help me get to the bottom of this.
Thanks,
Jonathan

To test your ram I suggest you use Memtest86+ , download it and put on a CD / USB , you should boot your computer using memtest86+ and let it do the work !
Even one error is not acceptable the test should get 0 error if your ram is fine
