Every time I start up my newly-built PC, my wifi isn't automatically connecting. My usb wifi adapter works fine, it shows me my connections and it lets me connect like it should, but when I start up my computer, it doesn't automatically connect, I have to do it manually. Help?

No solution for me here. I've tried those, and 8.1 still isn't connected four to five minutes later when I run out of patience and manually pop the sidebar open. When I select my home network, the "connect automatically" box IS ALREADY CHECKED, and yet the beast has clearly not tried to hook up. I have to wonder if 8.1 is too obstinate to try an access point that isn't broadcasting its SSID, which is how I have ours configured as an extra layer of "go away" to the would-be casual wifi thief.
