Ok, so this is what I plan to buy:

Mobo ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
CPU AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz
GPU MSI GTX 760 2GB (with new splinter cell & assassins creed games)
RAM Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Vengeance
Case Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus

I already have a Corsair TX 650W PSU, HDD and DVD Drive from my old PC.

What do you guys think of this setup? Will everything be compatible? Pretty happy with the price but do have a spare £40 I was going to spend on a keyboard, but let me know if you think that money would be better spent upgrading one of the components (such as going for the 7950 instead)

Thanks!

7950 will do and is not 20£ more? but nearly 40 more which performance wise not worth the 40.

If you're able to add 100 more you will be able socket , if the old case can be used then is 40£. The Tahiti LE is a powerful gpu delivering same performance of an 7950 when it's a bit overclocked for 133£ making the 7870 XT a very price worthy card.

The socket 2011 cpu have 40 PCI-e lines making it ideal for multiple gpu setup, like two 7870 XT in crossfire.

Ask in the forum if some has a cheap cooler for socket 2011, for instance if some has an CoolerMaster Evo 2120.

Check if your ram are DDR3, then use them and upgrade later.
