So recently I bought myself a LGA 1155 Z77 MSI motherboard(200$) I mishandled it and somehow bent 3-4 pins and cleared the CMOS while th board was on. The board still turns on and everything still works, the power on button, oc genie, CPU fans. The mobo just refuses to go to the BIOS, wont let me do dual channel memory and gives me a POST code 99 on the Monitor and on the motherboard LCD screen. I called MSI tech support and they said it would cost 25$ to replace. I also called my local tech shop and they would have to see the board to estimate a price. Should I sent it to MSI for a refurbished mobo, send it to m local shop, or just do it myself? I am trying to get it fixed in3 days or so. Thanks and have a nice day

Yeah i'd agree with ihog, send it back to MSI as it isn't too expensive and then at least you have no chance of messing it up yourself.

Its not a horribly hard job to unbend the pins, but it is dangerous in case you break a pin or damage more pins. then it is a pain to fix.
