'Your video card does not support shader model 3.0'. What can i do?

I am trying to play a game called Lego Marvel Superheroes. When i open the game it says that my video card doesn't support Shader Model 3.0.

Here are the minimum requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

INTEL CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz
AMD CPU: Athlon 64 2800+
Nvidia GPU: GeForce FX 5900XT
AMD GPU: Radeon X1300 256MB
RAM : 500 MB
OS: Win Xp 32
Direct X: DX 9
HDD Space: 8 GB

Here is my pc's specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Pentuim(R) D CPU 2.80 GHZ ~ 3.73 GHz
RAM: 2GB

PLEASE HELP!!!! ASAP

Upgrade

It says what it means quite literally. You need a GPU with shader 3.0 or better support.
Is this a desktop or laptop?

Thats really old. Its no wonder it wouldn't work.

^ supports SM 5.0
Hopefully your mobo doesn't have PCI-E compatibility problems.

Hello,

I have been receiving the same message today.
The game I had already played through days earlier.
No idea why that occurs suddenly.
Video card drivers etc. I have de. and reinstalled.
Unfortunately I still have the same error message.

Graphics Card: Radeon HD6850
PC: AMD Phenom 2 X4 840
RAM: 8 GB
Windows 7 64bit
