I just bought a mac book air recently but my seagate expansion doesn't seem to work on it. It is not compatible with mac products. Is there anything I can do?

It is probably formatted in NTFS, thus not detectable by OS X by default as it uses the HFS+ filesystem. For reading NTFS drives you need Macfuse along with this : http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.ca

As stated above, it is simply a formatting issue. If it is used purely for Mac, and will never be used on a Windows PC, then HFS+ is the one to go for. If you need to copy things constantly between the platforms, use NTFS-3G to copy from a Mac to NTFS drive, or format it in exFAT. It is the only common format that works across all configs.
