So just been thinking of what parts my next PC should have since my current is almost due for an upgrade, Mainly going to be used for Gaming

2 things 1: That power supply is overkill, you can run this on a 600-650 watt just fine 2: for gaming 8 GB will do you well, save the extra money and try to get a better GPU.

Radeon 5770(lasted longer then i thought it would)

Depending on if the power supply is a good brand. Also, the RAM there might be DDR2 if the motherboard is AM2+.

Its an AM3 socket chip, so it runs DDR3.

Not always. AM2+ was the socket before AM3. AM2+ was designed to run both AM3 and AM2 chips, and thus runs DDR2 RAM since AM2 CPU's had no support for DDR3 (usually).

Source: I have an AMD 965 running DDR2.
