My friend and i were about to play BF4 when he had to plug in his headset, it uses the 6 multicolored audio ports in the back on his Motherboard. He sent this to me

" I was just going to plug my headset when i missed the jack i hit the back panel and it made a static sound which made my pc restart "

We've tried a couple of solutions such as reinstalling drivers for his motherboard and of course restarting it lol.

The front audio ports also stopped working and he tried multiple headsets and speakers.
Sorry if this is the wrong sub to post this to. I browse here alot and dont know any other subs this might go on.

Specs are here

Motherboard:BIOSTAR TZ77B http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

i hope he did not zap the audio chipset on the mb. check in the bios to see if the audio chipset is turned on or off. look in the widows audio control and realteck audio control panel make sure non of the audio is mutted also make sure the nvidia or amd hdmi port not the main audio output now.

Where would I find the audio in the bios? like I know his is different than yours and mine but what would it most likely be labled under?
